hot water tank with no imersion heater

i have a hot water tank to fit with no imersion heater,the thing is,the size of the hole where normally the immersion heater sits on the tank in place is alot smaller than the standard size hole,in its place is a fixing to cap it off,are these tanks stil available,i have only seen the standard tanks,if not,what is used to seal the hole where the heater normally goes,
