Hotpoint WD62 not working

I have a Hotpoint WD62 Washer Dryer. I noticed the last time it was used that the spin noise was slightly odd. Today when I tried to use it, the drum fills with water but the drum does not rotate. I have tried all of the programmes and the same thing happens. After some research I thought it may be the brushes. So I then tried the dryer - this worked and the drum did appear to go round although again it didn't sound normal. This makes me unsure if it is the brushes now.

Any advise / ideas would be greatly appreciated
