HOTPOINT WF541P washing machine

When I press start the water starts to fill 4 secs later it stops ...nothing happens
Door remains locked
Just replaced the water inlet valves n tray & the door lock assembly
Can you advise?

Check the motor brushes.

OK will do
On "drain" tho the drum turns for half a turn
no lights are flashing
