we have a new composite door from veka. i would like to place a peephole in it. i have the hole it measures 11mm wide and i have an 11mm drill bit but i dont want to **** my door up. any tips. i was reading about hole saws or sommit but when i was at screwfix i noticed they didnt have any for 11mm. will it be fine to start with a small drill bit and work my way up. should i drill from both sides or just one etc. tips would be great thanks

Afraid I have never drilled one of your doors but I do find that step drills give me the cleanest holes in timber, aluminum and plastic , when I have used them.

i would drill a small hole all the way through very gently, and then working from both sides drill the hole required to fit the spy hole.
