Hi,
I need to remove the front case on my Vaillant ecoMAX boiler to remove
a piece of wallboard behind it.
Would it just be a matter of removing the case then refitting it after,
or would it involve having to readjust settings or pipework etc ?.

Thanks, sierra.

It should be just a matter of replacing the case afterwards.

If its the one I think it may be then its one screw and two clips underneath.

Why would you have a piece of wallboard that far off the wall that the front case would affect its removal

I assume you mean it is behind the boiler its self?

If so you will have to have the boiler removed and re-installed by a corgi.

Yes the boiler was fitted on top of the wallboard. All the other wallboards in the kitchen have been removed but its left jaggy edges around the boiler which looks unsightly and it could do with some if not all of it removing to neaten it up.

Thanks Tony,
It does have a screw and two clips underneath to remove the case.

If i cant remove all the wallboard, i just want to trim some from around the edges without going to the expense of having the whole boiler removed.

Still confused

You don't need to remove front of case to trim wallboard around back of boiler.

Hi Dave, I can see what you mean now.
Ive just unscrewed the case underneath the front, unclipped it at either side and only the front facia has come off.
I wanted to know if by doing this it would enable me to lift all the white casing off but its riveted to the chassis :( .

Thanks for your advice,

sierra.
