Hello , i have a oil boiler and the pipes that enter the house have frozen at the top a lenght of about 1m,the insulation has worn away which i couldnt see, what is the proper way to go about thawing the frozen areas?
Thanks
Hair dryer, hot/boiling water, blow torch will be fine.
Just go careful with the torch, low heat and flame near but not on pipe. Move flame around as you heat. Careful you don't melt anything meltable, or unsolder any soldered joints.
