How safe are keysafes?

We're so impoverished in the EU that we can't afford anything worth stealing, so there is no crime. Either that or the rest of the population already have all that they want and don't feel the need to resort to house breaking. :giggle: Fortunately post Brexit there may be fewer Brits bringing their unlawful habits abroad with them. :ROFLMAO:
However we do use the shutters to shade the windows from direct sunlight, but only in the afternoons at the height of the sun's zenith, otherwise the house would receive too much solar gain. Decorative grills wouldn't have quite the same effectiveness.
It's a bummer innit! :D
What a pathetic attempt at hijacking a post with your brexit nonsense

The widow shutters comment is based on pure personal observation, Greece, France etc etc the shutters in some cases are very decorative wrought iron jobs of superb craftsmanship .....including wrought iron shutters over superb crafted wood doors with bevelled glass panels.

It gave me pause for thought as to the need for these very pleasing security measures .....you draw from it what conclusions you will .....

The MIL's villa in Playa Flamenca, Spain, has shutters on all windows and balcony doors that are operated from inside AND bars/grills on all windows and doors as does nearly every other villa out there. Doesn’t look nice and wifey is always worried about bring trapped inside in a fire. Only one person in her residential area has no bars. They’ve never been burgled.

In "migrant" colonies where there are many homes owned by Migrant Brits who have migrated to the sun or bought holiday homes, often unoccupied at certain times of year, the local ne'erdowells have discovered that a sturdy 4x4 and a towing chain will pluck off the grilles or burglar bars with ease. If the colony is some distance from the nearest police, or telecoms alarms don't work, an accomplice watching the road will give them plenty of notice if they need to leave before ransacking is complete.
