I have seen similar topics on here but none that cover a floor type which is made of various botched patches from the last 50 years.
Having pulled out my kitchen and the various decorative fooring layers (4 in some points) I am left with a base which is part exposed brick (I assume an old foundation pre extension), part cement and part sand screed over probably old cement.
The whole thing is very very uneven and I gather that the best thing to do is blast out the ridges and then use a levelling compound.
Would this work on such a varied substrate? Also to blast out the ridges which are at some point svery much higher than the general level, should I use a scrabbler or is there a better tool for the job?
