Hi
Our property has installed with Gardtec 300 series burglar alarm.
When the main power supply switched off, the alarm goes off. I learnt, this is because of weak battery inside the panel.
I’m looking for some advice, how to replace the battery without messing it up.
Thanks

You will need 1.9 ah battery
Open panel swap battery
Close panel,reset with code.
If resistor on top right of panel is burnt, then control panel faulty.

Thanks for your response.
I’m just been concern if I could reset with normal code or system recognise this as a tampering and need an engineer.

Do you have the user code?
Open lid, enter code to stop internal noise
Change battery by removing spade connectors of old battery, re connection new battery
Close lid, reset system with user code.
Ensure lid is closed correctly.
