Been getting the LF message when this boiler tries to fire up.....I took off the cover and the sealing cover and it fires up fine..As soon as I put back on the sealing cover the fault returns


The rubber cable from the flame detector electrode is split.....could this be the issue?

Mate, these boilers have had some serious safety issues inside the combustion chamber, and would strongly recommend a service call and the engineer can check that all the upgrades have been carried out. Obviously a split will affect the lead and there was also a mod to this as well.

Dave, a DIYer should not be dismantling gas/combustion parts!

As advised the correct course of action for you is to call a competent Gas Safe registered engineer.
