IDEAL FF260 WHATS WRONG

B

Bodd

I've had a call to look at an Ideal Classic. When I get there the boiler is dead as a dodo.

I take the case off and remove the red tube from the fan to the air pressure switch (on the fan side) The fan then starts then ignition and boiler fires up.

When I put the case back on it still fires. But then it would fire up for maybe 30secs - a min then turns its self off. Then back on again. Heating gets hot but this on off on off keeps happening.

Any ideas?

The fan seems to be running smoothly but I fought it could be winding down, or maybe the air pressure switch?

any help would be appreciated.

could be the air pressure switch but check the dc probe lot white stuff on it if so clean it

yes best narrow everything out before you parts
also seen some thing similar once and it was a diverter valve in the end on woster

Keeping you all updated. It was the Air pressure switch

Thank you Bodd.
