not getting any temp out of hot water taps and boiler display has L9 showing. has anybody had this problem.

press the reset if it doesn't clear then switch off then on and then reset.

the boiler has overheated (flue gas) is there pressure in the boiler? at least 1 bar required.

L9 is basically lack of circulation,possibly the pump has stopped,what happens if you press reset?

r these boilers any good or should i replace it .i dont want to be chcking money at it every year

There are plenty of Registered Gas Installers who would not look at installing another IDEAL anything.

However, although they do not have a good reputation for reliablility or well priced spares, they can be repaired and, after all, another boiler will be yet another large investment.

You could ask IDEAL themselves for a fixed price repair that is guaranteed for a year.

L9/H9 are regular faults on these not as common as LF but easier to diagnose as they are nearly always flow related.

stuck pump, blocked plate heat exchanger or stuck diverter are the most problems after the unreliability of the PCB/control fascia on these tubs of ****e
