Hi all, am a "newbie" with some DIY experience, willing to 'have a go' myself if can get some expert guidance, so hope someone can help me.
Have persistent F2 error on a 2005 Ikea Whirlpool DWF 415 S integrated dishwasher, Service code: 8545 4151 5710.
Inherited on buying house in 2010, told it had never been used (looked new inside), but after using ok a few times, then machine stopped, got 2 flashing lights. Identified F2 fault code = drip tray full.
Took off front lower inspection panel (after power off) and drained water. Reset and used again, same F2 code after a couple of washes, drip tray full again. Checked for leaks - none visible, but when ran machine with front panel off (v. careful not to go near whilst 'live') water is coming from 2 small (overflow?) pipes at lower front left and right of machine into bottom tray, tripping float switch.
Ran programme again with both pipes turned outwards into plastic containers, machine ran through complete no problems, but around 750ml of water came out through overflow pipes. Ran again, checked water level inside after it stopped filling, water was up to bottom of door seal and lower spray arm, so machine is hugely overfilling.
Assume problem is either with Water Inlet solenoid valve, Fill chamber matrix (flowmeter?) or Diaphragm pressure switch, which either need cleaning out, or may have failed?
Can anyone advise?
