I have told him to stop and fill it before he kills someone, there is an existing drain but it's location was not ideal for the run off from extention and the problem with a soak away was not anticipated.
Too late he got BC round who told him the back fill to about 6ft and create a soak away, though I don't see how this will help given the clay soil.
