I have a Inedesit BF50 Dishwasher which wouldn’t finish its cycle.

After looking around various forums I replaced the heating element (the old one being covered in limescale and blackened at one end).

The new element seems not to be getting any power and gets stuck at the same point in the cycle. Everything else seems to be working ok as it finishes when I manually click past the heating cycle on the timer.

What else could have gone wrong to stop the element getting power?

You need to lay on the floor and have skinny arms. At the rear of the heater box is a thermo stat and it's tripped out just need to press the red dot on top of it. Access is limited but it's possible
