Hi All,
I have an indesit frost free fridge/freezer BNF 144, I have set it to the Eco settings for months now, now November last year same problem occured, I had to empty the fridge and had loads of spoilt things in the freezer, I opened it all up and on opening the freezer compartment, and left it for about 2 days, it started working again.
Again, back in February, fridge stopped working again, and I took off the freezer section which blows cold air into the fridge, completely took off the fridge section exposing the thermostat in the fridge, it was left for couple of days (2 i think), and it started geting cold again, but then again, it gets too cold in the fridge and things start freezing. After altering the fridge settings a bit, then it totally stops working the next couple of days,.
Now 2 days ago, I noticed the fridge geting warm and the freezer still working fine without any problems. I have opened the freezer compartment again, and I can see ice block forming, which is happened in the 2 previous incidents as well. I have taken out the ice block, which can be see in the attached picture. Left it off for nearly 12 hours today and now I'm back from work and on switching it on, its still warm.
I have the freezer filled up with my things, and looks like if i decide to defrost it, I'm going to loose all my food.
I would like to get to the bottom of the problem as it seems to be happening every 2-3 months now. I also dont understand why ice bl0ck is forming up in the lower section of the freezer as pictured, its supposed to be a frost free fridge/freezer, so why is ice still building up, does this mean something is broken, what is this ? Can someone please help ?
Thanks in advance.
