Indesit WD12 thermostat/element

I have an Indesit WD12UK washer dryer. On dry cycle there is not heat.
I have disconnected the element it measures approx 40 ohms. Is this correct?
The thermostat at room temp measures 20k ohms and reduces to about 2k ohms when placed in hot water. Is this correct?
If both are ok what else could it be?

OK done it. It's an inline thermal fuse, available from maplin 68p
