is this quote fair? bathroom floor

Hi all, we have a very small bathroom and coverage for flooring is 2 sq meters. We have got a quote for a mosaic karndean coming out at just under £500.


Been told that we have to buy one pack only, we will have some waste as it's over 3 sq meters, that's around £160, an extra £50 as they charge the shop extra as only ordering a small amount. The rest is fitting. They do have to bring up the height of floor because of the flooring we have on landing is over 15mm so a bit of work there.


What do you think?

Which mosaic Karndean is it? The one with the borders MS5 or one of the others?

If he's using 12mm plywood then the tiles which are 3mm he will reach 15mm.

Sounds quite dear to me but you can always get another price.

I'd say a days work to do the job.
Ply with 12mm then feather screed.
Let that dry and lay the tiles.

I'd say £400 - £450. Inc vat.
