Hi,

I have one of those joined kitchen/lounges (without any separating wall).

The kitchen part does not have any openable windows but the lounge part does. The kitchen does have a recirculating cooker hood (and a weird extractor fan setup where is extracts air into the chimney stack!)

My question is, with the lounge/kitchen being joined, does this meet the ventilation requirements? I want to put a new kitchen in and am worried that I will consequently need to bring everything up to regulations standard!

Thanks, J

Well I hope that chimney stack is vented further up. Recirculating is ok for regs, but not the best option for obvious reasons.
