I'm installing a new L-shaped kitchen and want to include LED strip lighting under cabinets, over the top and hopefully at kick board level if I can make a way that they are not vulnerable to damage.

The lengths are; top of cabinets approx 7 metres, under cabinets is approx. 5 metres and the kick board approx. 4 metres.

Firstly, what sort of light levels do I need and therefore the wattage per metre. I'm intending to use 24v versions so to eliminate voltage drop over those sorts of distances. The top and under cabinet strips will probably be driven from the corner of the L as both arms are virtually the same distance. The kick plate will have to be driven from one end.

Each level will have its own power supply and colour controller. I'm going to fit CCT type white LEDs.

All advice will be greatly received.

I used Lidi 2 meter strips, colour changing and variable output with zigbee smart controls, so hey Google turn on kitchen lights works even if hands covered in flour.

The big problem is most need supplying from sockets as the dropper is built into the plug, so some hidden sockets are needed to supply lighting.
