Not usre of the correct terminology for these things, but it is a gas fire with fake loose coal pieces on it.

It lights fine, then after 10 - 15 minutes it just turns itself off.

Any ideas?

Yes you must get it checked by a corgi, it could be a few things one of them being the production of carbon monoxide into the room.

DO NOT USE IT!

As ollski states it could be a number of things, CO (Carbon Monoxide) being one of them.

The fire is designed to cut out if it senses 'vitiation' which basically means the air it requires for complete combustion is 'dirty', possibly through CO spilling into the room from the fire itself.

Get a Corgi to take a look at it before you try to operate it again.

Just out of interest, have you noticed anyone in the house having Flu like symptoms and/or headaches lately? This 'can be' a sign of CO poisoning.
