The first time I went to Bruges (about 15 years ago) there was zero crime. Workmen would literally leave their work tools out in the street overnight and no one would touch them. When I went back again (about 10 years ago), it was just after a swarm of Eastern Europeans had been let in. The story was very different after that.Every city has areas that you are advised not to visit. Normal people call them uninteresting. The DM would call them no go areas.
