Staying with rellies and the power to all the sockets in the house has failed. Went to the fuse box (Memera 2000) expecting to see the fuse has tripped. It hadn't. Husband tried trip switch but apparently it didn't work. Any help would be gratefully received.
What will not reset, does the board have RCD protection?
Can you upload a picture of the board and the device within it/attached to it?
Do you have a means of safely testing for power?
It could be possible that connection have become loose or the breaker has failed/become faulty.
Was it one of those units, in which a tripped breaker needs to be gently eased to the OFF position, before it can reset, and then placed back to the normal ON operating position??
if it was a B32 MCB, it might have tripped after a modest overload causing thermal trip, followed by resetting after cooling down. In which case it will happen again if you have several electric heaters/ tumbledrier/ washing machine/ dishwasher/ microwave on the same circuit.
However if it was a MEM RCD (twice as wide, and has a test button) then it needs to be switched fully off, then on again, as kai says.
