Metal fence question

Hi,

I am after some advice on decorative metal fencing. Majority of the metal fence panels I have been looking at are 183cm in width and the gap I need to fence is 803cm. That means ( including posts at 5 cm ) I need 4 and a half panels. Can I therefore cut the last panel and hang it somehow? If not what options are available.

Also, how do you cope with a step where one panel will need to be about 8cm lower than the others.
