hello. y plan system heating and water work fine independantly. but mid position diverter valve doesnt go to mid position and provide both at same time. what could be the reason? cant be swollen/ stuck ball, prgrammer must be ok as ch/hw work , ?
londongas!.Are you sure you have a problem, or is it that you don't fully understand how the mid position valve works. It's a mistake to associate the valve position with the switch position, when both are on.
The fact that you put both HW and CH on does not mean the valve moves to mid point and provides for both at the same time. It only does this when both sides are not satisfied. As soon as one side is satisfied, that side is closed off leaving the other side open.
When you have selected both HW and CH it is highly likely HW soon gets satisfied (cause it's not in constant use and cylinder insulated) whereas the CH is losing heat through radiators and that heat soon needs replacing. Based on this, I would say that the valve would rarely be in the mid position and would spend a high percentage of time in the CH position.
