im wanting to put an additional rad in my kitchen. The closest existing rad is about 2 metres away in the hallway. To pipe it I somehow need to get across the floor. The floor is a floating floor i.e. T&G chipboard panels on top of 1" polystyrene sheets with solid underfloor.
The pipe is in 10mm minibore so is fairly bendable. I have considered running a router across the floor the shortest route and simply letting the pipe into the grooves or perhaps coring a large ish hole at either end and maybe one in the middle and trying to broddle the pipes through the polystyrene under the boarding but not sure this is achievable.
My only concern with the first option is the potential for the floor fitter (we've not had kitchen floor laid yet) damaging or piercing the pipe or damage in the future.
Any comments, suggestions would be appreciated.
