Hi there.

I am having a fitted wardrobe put in meaning a socket will be made unusable so I want to move it to behind the wardrobe and access it via hole in back of wardrobe.

The socket has only one set of wires running to it so I presume I couldn't normally spur off it as it is a spur itself?

That being the case, if the original socket will not be used, can I spur from it and blank it off in some way? I really don't want to have to start litfing baords and putting junction boxes in.

Help much appreciated :)

It may be a radial socket circuit although you could join the cable using through crimps and a proper crimper and extend the cable to it's new position.

If the blanking plate is covered by a piece of built in furniture then I submit that all the zones created by it disappear.
