Things to consider

1) Gas supply - we had 28mm gas supply pipe fitted (obviously drops to 22mm into boiler
2) many fitters just wanted to change the boiler - don't do this unless you have provenance on the central heating pipework - ours was a mess - so we rippled the lot out see point 3
3) Core issues was the CH pipework was all 15mm. We had a central "artery" of 22mm installed so that all radiators took there send and return from 22mm - this is critical as you will not get an efficient system or heating from 15mm pipework - just imagine your body without an Aorta - the blood just wouldn't circulate.
4) Inside or outside? if outside make sure you have - house controls e.g. CM927 Plus frost stat e.g. T4360A frost stat + pipestat (very important) e.g. L641B1004
5) Make sure your get fernox filters fitted especially to a new system
6) Make sure the hot water flow rate is match to you kitchen coldwater flow rate usually 10l would need a boiler with a little above e.g. 12 - make sure this is measured
7) Make sure you fit the right size rads for your rooms and that you buy a boiler that can supply the right BTU's for your propoerty - e.g. worcester 30SI is good for 3 bedroom sem with one bathroom and a conservatory. You can get smaller and cheap if in a flat or apartment, but make sure it has capacity for what you need.

Cheers
