Hi Peeps,

I am thinking of getting a new combi system fitted, just now i have a back boiler in the chimney with standard gas radiators throughout and a hot and a cold water tank, one question: to get rid of the hot and cold tanks and get the new system put in, would all the pipes need replacing? If its a question of 'depends whats there just now' what size of pipes would i be looking for that could handle a combi?

Thanks

Jamie

All your existing pipes and radiators should usually be ok with a new combi.

Will just need a slight alteration to existing pipe work to accomodate a new boiler.

Your hot water pipes should be replaced with 15mm, as that's what will almost certainly be coming off the boiler.

Thats a new one on me

Oh I get it now, old 22mm pipes fetch a good price in scrap yard ;)
