I have finally got round to getting the system wired and plumbed.

Currently the rad loops are all joined/looped together part from the bathroom towel rails (x2)

None of the rads are in as we are waiting for traditional column type rads to be delivered to get the pipe centres to do the final connections.

I thought I would fire the system up just to check its all working, Trouble is it didn't.

Timer, zone valves and thermostats behaved just as I would expect.

The hot water wasn't circulating correctly, the flow got hot to the pump and cylinder, but the return from the tank and boiler remained cold?

I assumed as everthing was looped it would just circulate, but it didn't.
Is it just an air lock as none of the rads are in, so unable to bleed..or something else.

I bled the pump and boiler btw.

Thanks.

Shouldn't it be commissioned first by the registered installer?

Yup, pump and pipes up to zone valve get hot and supply to tank but Not return.

Same for rad pipes, one loop got hot, the others did not.

Is something wrong, or is it just air.
