I am going to install 5 60w low voltage downlighters in my bathroom. Each downlighter having its own transformer. I intend to take a feed from the existing ceiling rose to an plastic adaptable box into which I have fitted 6 cable glands 5 for the lights 1 for the feed, and will then wire the lights using 5amp strip connectors. Total amperage 1.3. Is this ok or have I missed something important.

Make yourself aware of part P of building regs then decide if you wish to proceed or not.

More importantly if the rose is wired as loop in, make sure you don't confuse the wires to the switch with the wires that are Land N feed. a loud bang results if you get that wrong. See the reference section if this aspect is not clear.
The transformers will need to be in a position where they cannot overheat, i.e. away from insulation.
If there is a habitable room above fire hoods may or may not be needed, depending on the fire rating of the building.
remember the lights will get hot in use and route cable apropriately.
Other wise no, nothing to it really:cool:
