New heating timer/display - Can I just replace this?

Hi, we have a heating time/display that resets to default ON for both heating and water when there is a power cut which is great when you are away for a week and come back to find out the heating and water have been on most of the week.

It's not a combi boiler - do I simply buy and fit a new timer/display (one that doesnt reset to on) and control everything from this as normal?

Thanks

I think the plumbers might need a bit more info.
What is your current timer? PROGRAMMER

Apologies for the lack of info, I'll find out asap.

I was initally enquiring if the programmers in general can just be replaced, I'll get more details!

If it fails to on its probably a danfoss.

I don't see why u wouldn't want this feature. I see it as a plus point.

If you went away in winter would I rather come back to a hot house or burst pipes.

Yes programmers can be replace some very easily some not so

Btw it will only get as hot as the room stat is set to so maybe just turn that down a bit when u go away ;)
