NHS starting to stockpile Medicines

DUmbo - Why are Jaguar saying their £80bn investment plans are at risk and 40k workers will face an uncertain future if we leave the single market? You can answer that can't you. Or why are other manufacturers staring to chime in as well

Businesses like 'predictable', the car industry wants no interruption of supply chains.

That is true for both UK and EU car manufacturers.

The EU wont be so stupid to damage their key businesses like BMW so they will come up with a free trade deal of some form or other.

Do you think the 30,000 lobbyists in Brussels will happily stand by and let the EU damage the companies they represent?

and will the UK government ignore the prosperity of the country and go for a hard brexit?

I notice you say "The EU wont be so stupid"

Can anyone say the same about the UK?

Only an incompetent half-wit would do that

Oh, look...

So the NHS can't take the risk of a no deal brexit and will start to plan for a disruption in medical supplies.

We import 37m packages a month from Europe. So will it be worth it if people die or are hospitalised because we can't secure supplies?

He said: “There’s been significant planning going on around the scenarios ... Nobody is in any doubt whatsoever that ... in terms of ensuring continued supplies for all the thing that we need in this country, at the top of the list has got to be those medical supplies.

“There’s extensive work under way now between the Department of Health, other parts of government, the life sciences industry, the pharma companies, so nobody’s pretending this is a desirable situation but if that’s where we get to then it will not have been unforeseen.”

According to the geniuses on here - Roger, RC a no deal Brexit will have no impact.
Can you honestly see the EU denying life saving medicine to the UK ? Project Fear V2.0 is well and truly alive. (sucker) If the NHS are starting to "stockpile" these drugs/medicines, it's probably because the EU manufacturers realise we'll get them from elsewhere and so have got them buying in bulk at the moment.

That makes no sense at all. Why would the NHS buy in bulk from European suppliers knowing it will source medicines from elsewhere?

Probably not.

The EU wont be so stupid to discourage the existence of the EU, by offering better terms to an outsider than one of their own members.

hahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

First putting stockpile into quotes is a cheap lazy tactic used by DM headline writers to question the veracity of something.

Second if the EU won't deny us these medicines then why stockpile them.

Third if we have alternative non EU suppliers then why would we need to stockpile them from the EU?

I hope we stockpile your meds!

Yet another example of notch avoiding the fact that our UK government has spent two years dithering without being able to decide what it wants to negotiate for.

Stupid enough to fail to reach agreement?

Certainly stupid enough to not even decide what they hope to agree.

Where did I avoid that? Im quite happy to agree the Tories have made a mess of it

Once again JohnD cant bring himself to criticise his beloved EU.
