Sounds like water slam,

Change the wash mac taps too integral none returns and check pipes where clipped down when new boiler was fitted

thing is it was the boiler was a 1 for 1 swap and it happens when i run the cold taps and thats a direct feed from the mains. any ideas

what do you mean wash mac taps?

what do you think it could be like i say nothing has changed apart from the boiler and the cold tap goes no where near the boiler?

Then clutching at staws, ther is a dead leg on the water pipes somewhere that wasnt apparant with the old boiler.

I agree with craig on this. When the cold tap etc is turned on get someone to look at the display on the boiler. Does the tap symbol flash on for a couple of seconds.

If it does then a dead leg has been proved. If not keep looking.
