I waited one whole month to recieve my corgi card. Iwonder whether they would wait so long for their money and my notifications.

I just got my card. They're likely to wait an infinite time for some of my notifications. If the cutomer doesn't want us to give their details to corgi, then we can't. GWN is a corgi invention, not a "Normative" thing ie not a legal requirement.

'Normative' usually taken to mean 'relating to standards' (ie. 'norms'). Not all standards are legally enforced. (Fortunately)

just a thought.

perhaps they take your money, then wait fora "batch" then ask for the batch to be made, since several will cost less than 1

Expensive.
Could all ask "I changed a cooker do I have to notify" every day for the next year or so.
"I changed a thermocouple do I have to notify" every day for the next year or so.
"I changed a screw in a boiler do I have to notify" every day for the next year or so.
"I changed a plug do I have to notify or is it part P" every day for the next year or so.
"I changed a fuse in a boiler the homeowner fitted does he have to notify under P or L " every day for the next year or so.

I'd rather just say the customers don't give me permission to send their details. So eff off.

I never thought of that Chris, without express permission fromn the client CORGI and yourself would be in breech of the data protection act

nice one mate ;)

I have no problem in letting the Yappy Dog know what I am up to I just HATE giving it MORE of me hard earned

every internet notification i do seems to cost me £2.50. even when i notify 8 or 9 at once. (i.e. £20-£22.50 a time). am i doing something wrong or is batch notification not any cheaper. CORGI s helpline was a waste of time - they didn't know!

All your customers sign up giving you permission then davieboy

surprisingly up here in sunny scotland nobody has objected yet. (i know its not compulsory for building control yet). just trying to comply with CORGI. don't know for how much longer. i am going to pass the cost on to the customer soon.

GWN may be a good thing in disguise. Have tendered an estimate for a boiler change and have stipulated GWN with customer getting certificate of compliance from CORGI. A DIYer or non RGI cannot offer this facility.

Dont forget guys.Mister taxman is also watching. How easy is it for him to check how many jobs ur doing. Therefore no more cash jobs,if u know what i mean. P.S Im glad i live in switzerland. ;)

Guy on another forum just suggested that all new/replacement cooker installations need notifying. At £300 or some silly figure if not notified by the installer.
I haven't looked - cookers too??
