Hi,

I have a problem with my hot water, if i run the kitchen tap 50% of the time the boiler will not fire up, if however i run the bath tap upstairs it
will fire 99% of the time, i have traced the fault back to the pin from the diaphragm not making the micro switch.
The pin starts to move does does not make it out all the way. i have plenty of flow from the kitchen tap, (i would estimate at least six litres a minute)
if i make the switch the boiler fires no probs.
Can the fault be anything other than the diaphragm being faulty.
It just seems strange that it works 99% of the time with the bath tap.
When the bath tap is run the pin comes straight out nice and smooth no jerking or struggling

Any help would great!

Thanks

More flow from a bath tap so more chance of working with a split diaphragm.

Replace diaphragm.

For anyone who may be interested, i replaced the diaphragm and it sorted the problem.

Yes, we knew that it would which is why we told you what was needed!
