Help! I've just retiled my entire bathroom and i've just got to the point where i'm going to fit the sink (a pedastal type) to the wall. This is where the problem begins.

I've just merrily drilled through two of my tiles and discovered undernearth a rather thick layer if plaster. On of the hole has gone in about 2 and a half inches before hitting brick and the other one has gone a full six inches (the length of my sds drill bit). I'm too scared of coming out in next doors house to drill any further but can i get away with attaching a sink in to just plaster?

I think this is like this to cover up the scar from a fire place that used to be in the corner of the room.

You should be ok using a large plastic "rawlplug" set as far into the plaster as you can, 'cos there's not much pull at the top of a pedestal type basin (unless you intend doing acrobatics on top of it !!!!!!)''
