Whenever I paint emulsion (on a ceiling) I end up with very pronounced overlap marks.I have tried overlapping the 'wet edge' a little and a lot but it doesn't seem to make any difference.Would it help if the paint had a little water added to make it 'wetter'.
Any advice would be helpful
Thanks

Couple of questions
what make of paint and type are you using?
whats the surface of the ceiling?
How many coats has it had?
what are you applying the paint with?

Hi
The paint is dulux colour mixed.
The surface is newly skimmed plasterboard.
I sealed the plaster and it has now had 4 coats in total.
Applying with a roller.

Thanks

Make sure you are using a decent quality roiller, dont be stingy with the paint and dont press to hard. Once youve done an area and its still wet just lightly go over it in a different direction to even it all out.
