Brake lights staying on, likely to be switch, but where is it located?

Above where the passengers knees would be, mate - often they just get knocked about by nefarious activities but we do get the odd one goosed.
Its over there because the car was originally designed as LHD, see.

What does the switch look like, have looked but can not identify!

Pull down the trim above where the passengers knees would be, follow where the rod goes from the brake pedal across the car to where it connects to the master cylinder and loock for a plastic box with a plunger on the end, and an electrical connection.
