Is there a special socket or plug spanner for the job? The old plugs seem to be like hex socket type. Euro parts sold me conventional 16mm, denzo plugs. Will these fit? Thanks for your help. Chris.
The plugs are usually bihex fitting Chris, and your usual bihex plug spanner can get them out.
I would assume that 'normal' hex plugs will replace them just fine.

I think you'll find the thread diameter and thread length the same, but if one has a bigger hex head than original then access down the plug hole may be impossible. Are you able to get the old ones out?
Unfortunately the size may vary - there's more than the traditional two sizes we are used to!

Before you do.....visit your motor factor for the exact replacement, and then ask for a socket to fit it? (A magnetic one would be perfect.)
I pride myself on having a plug socket for every occasion (sad) but maybe I'm wrong. Delighted to be enlightened!
