I have just had a new hall carpet fitted but the fitters had to take off the door to the toliet room.

I want to change all the internal doors anyway (they are currently totally flat and a dark wood effect) and I would like to change them to modern white 6 pannel doors that you'd might find in a new-build home.

However, I am having a problem finding doors that fit.

What I need is a couple that are w626mm x h2032mm then to reduce the height to fit.

I can find doors that are 626mm wide and I can find doors that are 2032mm high but no smooth 6 panel doors that have the right width and height.

Is anyone able to advise as I am stuck?

Was not impressed with Jeld wen quality, no internal timber or even cardboard, just a thin polystyrene block top and bottom, had 6 fail due to blowing after install and decoration, replaced with 6 more only to have same problem so changed for solid pine doors.

I have found these that can be trimmed to the right size:

Premdor 6 Panel Smooth Internal Door w626 x h2040

Does anyone know what the Premdor quality is like?

From experience the same as weld jen, see above post.

Thanks, I have just ordered the Safe n Sound version rather than the standard version. This is what they claim:

A solid core specification, in a standard
thickness door, offering a substantial feel
and two valuable advantages:

1. Fire resistance
Although not a fire door (Safe ‘n’ Sound
should not be installed where a fire rated
door is required), due to it’s solid
construction, tests indicate that the door
can contain a fire for more than twice as
long as a standard core moulded panel
door.

2. Sound reduction
In tests it has been demonstrated that
Safe ‘n’ Sound makes a real difference in
reducing sound transmittance from one
room to another.
