plug in tester

There are several plug in sockets to enable you to test sockets with your meter probes without taking the socket off the wall - Socket & See do a range.

Have also seen on HSE website examples of plug in socket testers that give EFLI readings as a range - never seen them in the flesh. Surely if anyone is interested enough to test for EFLI they would want an actual and accurate figure off a proper calibrated 16th edition tester rather than in a range given by a LED indicator in a Martindale style socket tester.

Have a look on ISSWWW for adapters, cost about £15, either that, or drill holes in a spare plug and stick your test probes in

ok cool. next question is does the megger mit 300 series have a plug in supplied to do such testing?

Socket & see do a plug in adaptor, just plug in yr test meter & there you go.

There's others on eBAY cheaper.

Edit: Damn, pre-empted

Anyway: do you mean R1+R2. That is a dead test.
If you want Zs then any "16th edition" tester will do it.
