Been looking for a reasonable priced 8 port poe switch for my cameras. Seems alot of the 8 port poe switches Netgear etc only have 4 ports poe. I will have over 4 cams so all a sudden that bumps the price right up for a 16port switch that has at least 8ports poe.

Now i looked online and saw this

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/WS-POE-8-...044152&pid=100338&rk=1&rkt=25&sd=272459502650

anyone had any experience or do you just use a psu and the separate power line feed?

Given that 8 port POE switches are about twice the price of an 8 with 4 POE, you might think to buy 2 4+4 unless you have power consumption worries. This gives you a bit of flexibility in deployment. e.g.

For cameras a 16gbit/s switch is plenty - buying 2 gives you 8 POE and 8 standard ports. You don't need too many cat6 sockets before you fill up your ports, particularly if you have dual path devices.

Ah thanks v much for your input here most appreciated, that 8port POE Tplink model you posted 90 quid isn't a bad price. cheers.
