Can anyone advise on what the voltage should be from the PCB to the Gas valve on a Potterton Suprima 40 boiler when it tries to ignite?
The original valve had a failed solenoid so I had the valve changed with a tested working second hand one but this one also failed same day with the other solenoid showing open circuit. I’ve been advised that this was possibly just a poor part.
Before I give the go ahead for a brand new valve I feel they should be checking that the PCB isn’t possibly overloading the solenoid and damaging the coil. I don’t want to shell out on a brand new part for it to end up damaged.
Is this something that can happen?
Any help much appreciated. I’ve searched and can’t find this value.

We don't give Gas related advice.. You need a Gas Safe Registered operative to find why the valve is failing.
Changing gas valves is dangerous for DIY since you wouldn't know how to do it.
