power shower installation?????

i want to put a power shower in place of an old mixer shower,can i use the existing pipes to feed it,or do i need to run new pipework?if new pipes needed,where should they be ran from as my airing cupboard is the other side of house-do i go thru cieling and along loft then down into shower area or straight from tank???PLEASE HELP!!! :!:

THE OLD SHOWER DOESNT WORK SO IM NOT SURE IF THE SUPPLY IS BALANCED,HOW WOULD I TELL- HOT OR COLD WOULD NOT BE EQUAL??
 
hot is tank fed /cold should be also hence balanced supplies
both at same head
dont shout or turn caps lock off b4 you upset somebody :rolleyes:

i also have an electric shower to put in en-suite but this is surely just a case of taking old one off and using just cold feed to supply water?? :oops:
