powermax 155x boilers

powermax 155x boiler. i already know this topic has been approached before but i need a competent corgi registered powermax expert who can tell me the truth about my recurring problems,various,to tell it as it is and advise whether to repair or reject. i am tired of throwing money at it with engineers who really have as much idea as myself.
i live in northampton,any help would be appreciated,many thanks.

baxi/potterton took over powermax boilers.they seem expensive but in realiaty they are not.

baxipot yes my powermax is soon to go in favour of a combi.
after reading many posts here i think its not worth spending any money on it.
also getting rid of the beast i can knock down a wall and give more loads space in my flat,the miles of flue pipe in loft will go so loft can be extended,flat will be cooler in summer as heatstore is always hot.
ok i know it could be fixed by heateam ( i have used heateam in the past and been very very very happy with their service) but more space,less noise and a 5 year gurantee on new boiler,what can i say.
