Why not ask on the Oftec forum ??
Surely you dont mind getting ripped apart by certain members!!
I personally use a home made test rig incorporating a gauge /tee /adaptor /a lever valve and a Fulham nozzle to connect onto either a foot pump or battery operated compressor!
Most bits can be accessed from BES!!
I usually test at 2bar for new pipework!!
If you are testing for a leak on existing pipe then use a manometer and air as you would for LPG!!
Connect it up to mains water supply for an hour so and if it holds that then it should be fine.
Or alternately fill a water pressure bucket with kerosene and pump it up to about 8 bar. Either option is safe.
