Hello all,

We have a really old Primer F boiler in our kitchen.. We will be having a nice new combi put in next year when we have saved up enough pennys.

In the meantime, looking at the dial above it, the black hand is down to near the 0 mark. There is a red hand which sits between 1 and 2.

I am a novice but am guessing it relates to the pressure and am hpoing it will be simple enough to refill?? I dont want it to cut out altogether and dont really want to call out a plumber if I could tackle it myeslf..

Help please!

Can you see a silver braided pipe with a valve at the end of it?, sometimes its a screw slot but more often it looks like a washing machine valve. Occasionally theres two valves to open.
If so that is what you need to turn on to re-pressurise your system
You seem to have the right idea ..... Take it up to 1 bar then close the valve..
