Providing lighting solution to a camping/garden pod

Hi All,

Not sure if this is exactly the correct place for this post, so please feel free to move.

I want to purchase a camping pod to site on some land that I own, but I dont think I am going to easily be able to connect the site up to mains electricity due to distance away from my property.

Given that the only real need for power in the camping pod will be for lighting in the evening, I was wondering if there is any practical alternative that people have tried?

Would battery powered lighting be sufficiently bright (I would need more than a torch!)

Would hooking the pod up to some kind of leisure battery be more appropriate?

Any other suggestions?

These are a reliable 12 volt 10 watt floodlight that I use for event lighting

which are not heavy to carry to and from the site.

Connected by snatch plugs for easy exchange of battery.

Run times of at least six hours, longer if a larger battery is used.

If you are able to leave battery at 'camping pod' there are also Solar Shed Lighting kits.

Or Do it yourself by getting a Solar Panel and Charge controller, a battery, and 12V lights.
