Hi
I have just aquired an Ideal icos HE24 'heat only' boiler for use on my fish pond. It is a replacement for a ravenheat boiler that has been nothing but trouble.
My question is , that it seems to not have any pump contol output. Just a pair of conections for a timer switch or thermostat.
I can build my own pump run-on timer[ no problem] , but i think that it is a bit stange that this boiler has no pump control.

The boiler doesn't need pump overun..hence no pump terminal.

Just wire the timeclock/thermostat live feed to L2 AND the pump and a permanent live to L3.

Suprima, Ravenheap and now an Ideal...you know how to pick 'em ;)

Hi
Thought that would be the reply about the make of boiler.

Ok i will wire the pump without overun and see how it goes.

just wondered if it would trigger the overheat switch

Knew i should have bought a Worcester

Hi
Just looking at the wiring diagram, wouldnt that just run the pump continously. L3 being permanetly live
Conecting the pump between L2 [switched] and neutral would be correct. ?
